Responses to different domain management inquiries in APTLD87

What guidelines are provided to ccTLDs for securely managing DNS during cyberattacks and other crises? What are the pitfalls of cross-border ccTLD management? How can URLs be monetized? What are the challenges and benefits of moving an Internet registry to the cloud? These and many other domain management questions will be addressed at the 87th (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) APTLD conference.

The four-day APTLD87 conference will take place in Hong Kong, China, from February 10 to 13.

During the event, Kristina Hakobyan, Board Vice Chair of the Internet Society NGO along with Board members Vesmira Harutyunyan and Narine Derdzakyan, will share insights on the development of .am. They will also explore global trends in domain sector and strategies for their implementation.

Established in 1998 and legally recognized in Malaysia in 2003, APTLD aims to foster the sustainable growth of ccTLDs, enhance regional collaboration, strengthen the expertise of the professional community, and advocate for its members’ interests.
APTLD’s strategic plan for 2025-2027 focuses on fostering collaborative projects, engaging actively in international conferences, developing standardized procedures and policies for domain registration and data privacy, enhancing domain name security and cybersecurity, and sharing best practices.
