A New Chapter in Cooperation on Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation and Internet Governance

The Internet Society NGO and the Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA) Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to advance joint initiatives and leverage their combined expertise in cybersecurity, digital transformation, internet governance, and related technology fields.

The memorandum signed in March 2026 establishes a framework for long-term collaboration through the development and implementation of joint projects, educational and professional programs, public awareness initiatives      and knowledge, experience sharing activities. It also provides for the creation of joint working groups, collaborative participation in national and international grant programs and the implementation of new initiatives involving representatives from the public and private sectors, academia and the broader expert community.

“For more than three decades, the Internet Society has been committed to advancing internet governance, digital inclusion, cybersecurity and capacity development. I am confident that our partnership with the ISAA Foundation will enable us to build on this experience through new collaborative initiatives that support Armenia’s digital transformation and promote the adoption of international best practices,” said Andranik Aleksanyan, Director of the Internet Society NGO.

“Digital transformation cannot be achieved by government institutions alone. It requires trusted partnerships, shared expertise, and close collaboration across sectors. By combining the Information Systems Agency of Armenia’s strategic initiatives with the Internet Society’s longstanding experience, we will create new opportunities to strengthen cybersecurity, advance digital transformation and promote effective internet governance in Armenia. I am confident that this partnership will not only lead to the successful implementation of new initiatives but also contribute to building a secure, open and trusted digital environment for the country,” said Nerses Yeritsyan, Director of the Information Systems Agency of Armenia.

The memorandum also envisions the joint organization of conferences, workshops, seminars, and training programs, the preparation of analytical and informational publications, and the implementation of additional initiatives that contribute to the development of Armenia’s digital ecosystem.

The Memorandum of Cooperation enters into force upon signing and remains valid for an indefinite period, providing a solid foundation for sustained and coordinated collaboration between the two organizations in support of a secure, open and resilient digital future for Armenia.
