The Fifteenth Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was hosted online by the United Nations under the overarching theme “Internet for human resilience and solidarity”. The program was built around the four main thematic tracks: (1) Data; (2) Environment; (3) Inclusion; (4) Trust.
The IGF 2020 pre-events, newcomers sessions, thematic introductory sessions, as well as the Open Forums, NRIs and DC sessions were hosted on 2–6 November during the meeting's first phase. The meeting was officially opened on 9 November and closed on 17 November. During this 7-day phase, workshops, main sessions, the high-level leader's track, a parliamentary roundtable, and thematic concluding sessions were hosted.
6,150 people registered as participants. The meeting recorded 20,929 connections to sessions hosted over 1,000,000+ minutes, making an average time per connection be 50 minutes.

ICANN69 Virtual Annual General Meeting
ICANN69 Annual General Meeting - the third ICANN Public Meeting of 2020, started on 13 October 2020. It was originally supposed to take place in Hamburg, Germany and in respect to the local community, all sessions were held in Hamburg's time zone, UTC +2. Besides, given the virtual character of the meeting and challenges with the time zone, the meeting was planned to be held in 2 parts: Community Days, 13-15 October 2020 and a Plenary Week, 19–22 October 2020.
ICANN offered remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) for key ICANN69 sessions in the six United Nations languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
The Plenary Week sessions included Tech Day, the GAC Plenary, the Domain Name Business,
a joint meeting between the ICANN Board and GAC, DNS Abuse, Remediating Universal Acceptance Issues, and other notable sessions.

SEEDIG 6 was originally planned to be held in Moldova but it was eventually moved online. Creativity, innovation and interactivity were the key words for SEEDIG 6, which spanned a week (21–25 September 2020). Each day included several hours of main sessions and creative tracks, scheduled in such a way that participants were not expected to follow a usual 8-hour long program. Networking and fun were also part of the event.
SEEDIG 6 featured nine main sessions grouped in four tracks: Internet infrastructure, digitalisation, trust and security, and advanced technologies. The discussions in these sessions were reflected in key messages.
“Internet Society” NGO Board member Lianna Galstyan, in her role as SEEDIG Executive Committee member, moderated some of the sessions. Board members Kristina Hakobyan, Siranush Vardanyan and members of the organization Annie Dallakyan, Katarina Gevorgyan participated in the virtual meeting.

CENTR. 51st Administrative Workshop
“Internet Society” NGO Board Member Anna Karakhanyan participated in the 51st CENTR Administrative Workshop taking place online. Representatives of 27 ccTLD Registries gathered to discuss the management and development of ccTLDs.
Օn 8-10 September, 2020 APNIC50 meeting took place as an online event. APNIC 50 was held as an online event from 8 to 10 September. The conference brings together Internet and networking experts, government representatives, industry leaders, and other interested parties to attend workshops, conference sessions, tutorials and discuss policies.

On 7-8 September 2020, the 13-th International conference for ccTLD registries
and registrars of CIS, Central and Eastern Europe TLDCON2020 started its work as an online event. It discussed the domain industry in the conditions of pandemic, various aspects of DNS and dispute resolutions.
"Internet Society" NGO Board Member Anna Karakhanyan participated in "Internationalized Domain Names: Global and Regional Initiatives in Universal Acceptance” session as a speaker, to talk about the development processes of the Armenian IDN ".հայ" during 2019-2020.
"Internet Society" NGO Board Member Grigori Saghyan was a speaker at the session "Regulations: Ablation? Coaxing? Salvation?", where he highlighted the main regulation trends in the region and their impact on the work of ccTLDs against the backdrop of global sectoral changes.
The 78th APTLD Members Meeting was held in the online format on 3-4 September 2020. The Meeting got together over 190 Members’ delegates and guests representing Asia-Pasific I* organizations and the global domain names industry.
The Meeting featured a total of 8 sessions and over 40 panelists and presenters, to cover the administrative, policy, technical, marketing and security areas. In addition, there were a number of side networking events which aimed at promoting the spirit of collaboration and interaction among the community.
“Internet Society” NGO Board Member Grigori Saghyan joined a panel discussion at APTLD78 with a presentation.
ICANN68 Policy Forum Readout
On 5 August 2020, ICANN68 Virtual Policy Forum Readout was organized in Russian language. “Internet Society" NGO Board Members Anna Karakhanyan, Igor Mkrtumyan, Kristina Hakobyan, Lianna Galstyan, Siranush Vardanyan as well as members Ani Dallakyan, Katarina Gevorgyan and Margarita Ghazaryan attended the online meeting.
Lianna Galstyan, APRALO Vice Chair, talked about At-Large and APRALO sessions at ICANN68. Particularly about the sessions on Universal Acceptance and the work of Social Media Working Group.
Siranush Vardanyan, ICANN Fellowship Program Manager, presented the Fellowship and NextGen programs and the changes implemented in the programs caused by COVID-19.
IGF USA 2020
IGF USA 2020 took place on 22-24 July as a fully virtual meeting. Among the topics discussed were technical issues such as the next generation of wireless technology and IoT, the encrypted Internet and lawful access.
Also, the topics related to COVID-19 and its impact on various aspects of our lives were vastly discussed, such as Privacy in the Age of COVID-19: Public Health and Individual Rights, impact of COVID-19 on Learners and Educators, etc.
